불어라 봄바람

Flow gently, sweet Afton ! among thy green braes,

Flow gently, I'll sing thee a song in thy praise ;

My Mary's asleep by thy murmurung stream,

Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream.

 

Thou stock dove whose echo resounds thro' the glen,

Ye wild whistling blackbirds, in yon thorny den,

Thou green crested lapwing thy screaming forbear,

I charge you ,disturb not my slumbering fair.

 

How lofty, sweet Afton thy neighbouring hills,

Far mark;d with the courses of clear, winding rills ;

There daily I wander as noon rises high,

My flocks and my Mary's sweet cot in my eye.

 

How  pleasant thy banks and green valleys below,

Where, wils in the woodlands, the primroses blow ;

There oft, as mild evening weeps over the lea,

The sweet -scented birk shades my Mary and me.

 

Thy crystal stream, Afton, how lovely it glides,

And winds by the cot where my Mary resides ;

How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave,

As, gathering sweet flowers, she stems thy clear wave.

아름다운 아프톤(불어라 봄바람)

 

조용히 흘러라, 아름다운 아프톤이여! 푸른 언덕 사이로,

조용히 흘러라, 너를 찬미하는 노래를 나는 부르리라.

나의 메리가 소근대는 시냇물가에 잠들어 있으니

< 아프톤이여,아름다운 그녀의 꿈 깨뜨리지말고 흘러라,>

 

네 노래소리 온 골짜기마다 메아리치는 너 들비둘기야,

저 건너 가시덤불 속에서 너희 재잘대는 야생지빠귀들아,

너 초록빛 볏이 달린 도요새여, 네 울음소리를 그쳐라.

청컨대, 내 잠든 미녀를 깨우지 말라.

 

얼마나 높이 네 이웃 언덕들은 솟아있는가, 아름다운 아프톤이여,

굽이쳐 흐르는 맑은 시냇물이 저 멀리 보이누나.

거기서 매일 나는 정오가 높이 솟을 때면 헤매노라,

나의 양떼들과 메리의 아담한 오막집을 한 눈에 보며.

 

네 둑과 그 아래 푸른 골짜기는 참으로 즐겁구나.

앵초꽃이 숲속에서 마구 핀 곳,

거기서 자주, 부드러운 저녁 바람이 잔디 위로 불어올 때면,

달콤한 향내 나는 자작나무는 메리와 나에게 그늘을 드리우누나.

 

너 수정 같은 시냇물 아프톤이여, 너 얼마나 즐겁게 흐르며,

나의 메리가 사는 오두막집 곁으로 굽이쳐 흐르는 구나.

향기로운 꽃들을 모으며 맑은 물결을 거슬러 올라갈 때,

내 물결은 참으로 애무하듯 그녀의 눈 같이 흰 발을 씻어주누나.

 

조용히 흘러라 , 아름다운 아프톤이여, 푸른 언덕 사이로,

조용히 흘러라,  아름다운 강이여, 내 노래의 주제여,
